Justin Bieber's remarkable entrance at his Barclays Center "Believe" concert Monday night couldn't have struck his fans as more fitting.
After an introductory fanfare booming enough to herald the appearance of a Greek god, Le Bieb descended to the stage on looming wings, like a great speckled bird.
It's important to note that these wings weren't feathery white, like an angel's, but metallic gray, like something out of a sci-fi epic. That modestly edgy detail tipped off a dilemma that loomed over the whole show, not to mention over the star's future career.
