10 Teenage Girls Die In Canoe Accident And 4 Killed In Boko Haram Attacks


Families of 10 teenage ladies are currently mourning the loss of their friends and loved ones. In Taraba, 10 of these 14 youngsters were involved in a canoe accident that claimed their lives. They were travelling; on their way to a wedding ceremony when the canoe capsized and they drowned. According to the  Agence France Presse (AFP), they are still searching for three other bodies in the river where this happened. The bodies were discovered by local fishermen who fish in the river. The Red cross in the area reports that at least 137 people have lost their lives in that river due to the rise in water levels. Also four people were killed in a Boko Haram attack in Maiduguri.
