The event took place between Friday 5th October  and Sunday 7th October 2012 in Accra, Ghana.

 

 

Aircraft, truck collide at Lagos airport

A Kano-bound IRS Airlines plane departing the Lagos airport on Wednesday morning collided with an abandoned truck beside the taxiway, forcing the pilot to cancel the flight.

The wing of the Fokker-100 aircraft, it was learnt, collided with the truck which fell into a drainage on Tuesday.

The truck belongs to a Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria contractor.

The 91 passengers on board the flight were later disembarked and put in another plane which left for Kano three hours later. 

Thank GOD is was cancled. At list dey didn't manage this time else we would have seen another tragic display of an eyesore .

Traffic law: Lagos destroys 3,000 seized okadas

The Lagos State Government has commenced the process of crushing 3, 000 motorcycles, popularly called okada, impounded from their owners for violating traffic law.

Officials of the state Taskforce on Environmental and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit on Tuesday dismantled the okadas at the task force yard in Alausa.

Uniport Students Demand Justice For Slain Students

The students of Uniport are no longer finding the death of their colleagues, Tekena, Llyod, Ugonna and Chidiaka. who were killed in Aluu community in Rivers State funny. This morning the students took to the streets, blocked Choba junction to protest the killing of their mates. Alot of security agents are present and are trying to put a stop to the protest. Some of them said, two of the boys were well known on campus as upcoming singers. The four were best of friends before their untimely death. We have also seen few pictures of their parents, they don't even look hungry. Their parents can afford to buy them laptops and phones. They were just new in the community, freshers. None of them was above 22years old. But the Government have taken the matter up. The painful part about this protest right now is about one of playcards a student carried; DEATH SHOW 'Aluu VS Uniport... Aluu 4, UNIPORT 0... 1st half. Please boys, everyone is touched about this. Let us take it easy. Rivers State Government won't fold their hands about this. The whole country is watching. Africa is watching. Thank you.

Two men caught with human head in Nasarrawa

Yakubu was said to have lured the little boy to a forest where he beheaded him and dumped his body in a stream. Yakubu then took his head to Ishaya in Abuja who promised him N250, 000 for fresh human head. Dakulung was to give the head to someone else for ritual purposes, but fortunately the two men were accosted and arrested by men of the SSS following a tip off. They were paraded to newsmen this week in Abuja.
